This is a flavorful and spring-like compound butter. The strawberry jam brings a lovely sweet note while the thyme brings a earthy herbaceous and the lemon zest brings a bright pop to the decadent butter! This butter would be great on pancakes, johnny cakes, corn bread, scones, muffins, toast and so much more.Ingredients:
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
¼ cup good quality strawberry preserves
1 tsp. finely minced thyme
Zest of half a lemon
Pinch of fine sea salt
Place the butter in a large bowl and fold in the strawberry jam. Add all of the other ingredients and mix well so that everything is incorporated. Either place in a small bowl or wrap in plastic wrap and form the butter into a log. Chill in the refrigerator.
